Dunwoody High's four-year graduation rate hit 91.7% for the Class of 2026, the district said: the school's first year above 90% and up from 86.8% in 2025.

Dunwoody High School graduated 91.7% of its Class of 2026 within four years. That is the school’s highest rate on record and the first time it has passed 90%.

The DeKalb County School District published the figures Sept. 28 in its graduation rate release. The district said Dunwoody was one of four high schools to pass 90% for the first time.

The state’s own files back that up. In every year from 2018 to 2025, Dunwoody High’s rate stayed between 84.8% and 89.6%, according to the graduation rate downloads published by the Georgia Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.

How much it rose

The state’s published rate for the Class of 2025 was 86.8%. That was 474 graduates out of a cohort of 546 students, according to the 2025 state file. Measured against that figure, the 2026 rate is 4.9 points higher.

The district’s release lists Dunwoody’s gain as 8.9 points, which would put the 2025 rate near 82.8%. That does not match the state’s published 2025 figure. The release’s figures for other schools, including Lakeside and Cross Keys, do match the state’s 2025 rates. The state has not yet posted its school-level file for 2026; we will update this story when it does.

The previous high in the state’s files was 89.6% for the Class of 2024, when 439 of 490 students graduated in four years.
