Dunwoody Wildcat Theatre puts on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in four shows Nov. 13 to 15 at Dunwoody High School. Tickets are sold in advance online.
Shakespeare comes to Vermack Road next month. Dunwoody Wildcat Theatre, the theater program at Dunwoody High School, will stage A Midsummer Night’s Dream in four performances from Friday, Nov. 13, to Sunday, Nov. 15, in the school auditorium.
The production is directed by Amanda Exley Lower, Director of Theatre at Dunwoody High School. The school describes the show as a trip to “an enchanted forest filled with fairies, mistaken identities, mischievous magic and romantic confusion.”
Built by students
The cast is made up of student actors, and the show behind them is student work too. Technical Theatre students have worked together on the scenic design, costumes, props, lighting and the other elements that, in the school’s words, “bring Shakespeare’s magical world to life.”
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the perfect setting to celebrate our students’ imagination, artistry and ability to create together,” Lower said.
